Head of Training and Professional Department
Top-down training can only work when things are still. But the world is not still..
Director of the Training Department
Two years ago, I did teamwork training, with no results. Whereas here, it’s more practical, and I can see how I can implement it.
We created a basis which we can now use.
It showed us that we cannot work without one another.
Taking on different roles allows to understand the difficulties experienced by others.
It gives us the keys to improve the way we behave, right away.
Disruptive Learning Content is more agile, challenging, demanding, delivers a higher learning performance, less expensive and more effective than traditional e-learning or classroom training.
Tool: Command Center (Displays maps & information on the ongoing Heist)
He is a ex top manager from The Circle and member from BlackSwan since the start of the movement. He already had been captured by The Circle but always found a way to escape, due to his extensive knowledge of this organisation and its methods.
His experience in crisis management and his patience make him a valuable partner. But his will to achieve the objective makes him blind on his partners obstacles.
Thibault Dags as
Tool: Infrared Glasses (Show lasers as well as motion and heat detectors)
Though he has no formal training, Thibault is now recognized as a world class engineer. He started following this career at a young age, when he volunteered for Habitat for Humanity as part of a high school program. Most renowned for incredible collaboration with local inhabitants and his talent for improvising under any circumstances, Thibault has undoubtedly transformed the world of charity.
Twice now, housing projects he was working on, once in Thailand and once in Haiti, were sabotaged mere weeks before The Circle decided to purchase the land and install factories in their place. Though they fought The Circle in court, the cost of legal fees kept them from being able to stand up against The Circle.
Recently, when water close to the construction site for a school was suddenly discovered to be massively polluted, a legal team from Black Swan helped prove The Circle’s involvement and had them pay for the de-pollution. Since then, Thibault has joined Black Swan, helping them in a wide array of situations all across the world.
Melinda Von Gassner as
Tool: Soundwave Gun (Can stun guards)
The youngest daughter of a rich family of Swiss bankers and lawyers, Melinda was destined for a career in medicine. She studied ballet at a very young age, but had to stop at the age of 16, when her parents deemed it too time consuming as it would keep her from pursuing a good career.
When she started university, she met a fellow student whose parents ran a circus nearby. In the evenings, and in secret, she started practicing to become a world class contortionist.
She went on to lead a successful double-life for years, working in as a surgeon by day, and as a contortionist by night. Then the hospital she worked at was taken over by The Circle Health Group, and every employee’s background and activities were meticulously examined. Forced into “early retirement” and humiliated in the eyes of her family, she joined Black Swan in hopes of preventing The Circle’s practices from ruining other people’s lives.
Laurent Lafont as
Tool: Detection Scanner (Displays the field of view of Motion Detectors)
Trained as a top mathematician and an internet security developer, Laurent was rapidly interested in Hacktivism and Hackers in general. Though there is no proof, he is said to have brought to light information that incriminated 10 big companies in the last 5 years.
Laurent started working for The Circle’s I.T. department in order to infiltrate their security system, which is said to be one of the best in the world. A great security system usually means there are things to hide.
One day he was caught red-handed. The Circle immediately found out about his activities as a hacker, and gave him a choice: either he helped them by infiltrating Black Swan or they made sure he went to prison for what he did.
With no other choice, Laurent infiltrated Black Swan, but no one was counting on him switching allegiance. Though this made him a fugitive, he has become one of Black Swan’s best assets, regularly helping them bring information about The Circle’s activities to light.
Laura Kateb as
Tool: Electromagnetic Gun (Temporarily disables drones and motion detectors)
Born from a poor family, Laura quickly learned to observe people and the way they behave and interact. When she graduated from high school and started looking for a job she quickly was put off by corporate environments and hierarchical structures. In consequence she decided to make her own way as a hacker, observing people’s behavior in bars, cafes and office buildings and hacking less reputable people, often alerting law enforcement of their wrongdoings.
Two years ago, she was offered a job as a white hat hacker by The Circle, but she immediately refused. Black Swan saw this as an opportunity and asked her for help in their struggle with The Circle. Though she refuses to be directly affiliated with Black Swan, she seems to spend more time working with them than not.
Laura holds onto her freedom dearly, but she is willing to do astounding work if the reasons are good, and that’s where Black Swan comes in.
